Instructions for use
Wash your hands.
Fill the clean bottle with the specified volume of either distilled, micro-filtered (via a 0.2 micron filter), commercially bottled or pre-boiled lukewarm water.
Always use the NeiLMed Sinus Rinse sachet bottle.
Rinsing your nasal passages with plain water without the mixture will lead to a severe burning sensation, as plain water is not normal for nasal cleansing, even if it is suitable for drinking.
Also, for your safety, do not use tap water to dissolve the mixture, unless it has been boiled for five minutes or more as the boil sterilizes the water.
Other options are distilled, micro-filtered (up to 0.2 micron), commercially bottled or, as previously mentioned, boiling water at a warm temperature or body temperature.
Cut the Sinus Rinse mixture pack in the corner and pour the contents into the bottle.
Tighten the cap and tube on the bottle.
Place a finger over the tip of the lid and gently shake the bottle to dissolve the mixture.
In front of the sink, lean forward to your comfort level and tilt your head down.
Keeping your mouth open, without holding your breath, place the cap comfortably in the nasal passage.
Gently push the bottle until the solution starts to drain the opposite nostril. Some can be drained from your mouth.
For a proper rinse, continue to gently push the bottle until at least 60 mL to 120 mL of the bottle is used.
Do not swallow the solution.
